These bites are packed full of flak seed, oatmeal, coconut flakes, chocolate and more.

  • 1 cup old fashioned oats
  • 1/2 cup almond butter
  • 1/2 cup flax seed
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 2/3 cup coconut flakes
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips


  1. Mix all ingredients together in a medium-sized bowl.
  2. Roll into 1-inch balls.
  3. Store in air-tight container in the refrigerator.

  • 1 cup yellow cornmeal
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 qt vegetable oil, for frying
  • 2 pkg. Hebrew National Hot Dogs
  • 1/3 cup corn starch


  1.  In a medium mixing bowl combine cornmeal, flour, salt, pepper, sugar, and baking powder
  2. In a large bowl combine egg and milk
  3. Dump the flour mixture into the milk mixture
  4. Stir until combined but don’t over mix and set aside for 10 minutes
  5. Heat vegetable oil in a pan with high sides
  6. Cut the hot dogs into 1 inch pieces
  7. Pour corn starch into zip top bag and add the hot dog pieces and shake to coat
  8. Line a baking sheet with paper towels
  9. Shake off excess corn starch on 10 hot dog pieces and place into the batter, stir to cover
  10. Once oil is heated to 375 degrees F add first 10 pieces into the pan and cook until golden brown
  11. Remove and place on paper towel lined baking sheet to drain
  12. Repeat with remaining hot dog pieces
